Ted makes his yearly pilgrimage to the rooftop Halloween party in search of a girl dressed as a pumpkin, whom he met years ago. Meanwhile, Robin is dumped after driving her new boyfriend away with her independent ways.

Canning Randy

Marshall doesn’t want to fire Randy, despite his continued incompetence. Zoey signs up for Ted’s class and gets his students on her side of the fight to save the hotel from being torn down. The gang tries to learn why Robin was amidst other women doing the post-Halloween walk of shame.
